This frit glass screen is made of porous molten glass and is able to filter even very fine particles from the smoke. It consists of many individual glass granules, which were joined together just below the melting point, thus obtaining an irregular, open-pore structure. However, a cleaning of the glass screen with warm water and subsequent reuse is possible without any problem.
